♥♥remixed

Here’s a couple of remixes I’ve stumbled upon as I scour the internet for sexy beats.  There’s something I really enjoy about a remix.  Often times, and no offense to the original artists, it can be sort of like a face-lift.  Then again, perhaps I’m  biased because I’m a sucker for instant satisfaction.  I’m not sure how new these are, but I wanted to share a few that really wet my whistle.

Now, I know I’m going to catch some flack for the first one.  I must say that I LOATHED this song after hearing it fifty times … suffering through the moments where friends who know I love music would tell me about this new rad song.  I don’t even LIKE cherry chap-stick.  Katy Perry will most likely fall into oblivion, much like ‘Kelis’ and her ‘Milkshake’ did.  Ok, but that said, this remix is worth some serious volume while sucking back a Starbucks iced coffee in the car.

For those of you who haven’t heard of ‘Miami Horror‘, GET REAL!  So, I really can’t get enough of this one on repeat.  It’s consistantly rocking my socks off, for lack of a better truism.  It’s called ‘Five Feet of Snow’ and the original is by ‘The Dirty Secrets’ … how much do you love that band name ?

This one reminds me of ‘Panic at the Disco’ or ‘Fall out Boy’ … just because of the sound of the dude’s voice and the way the song sorta bends that way.  I don’t want to say emo, cuz I hate that shit.  Never-the-less — I love the build-ups and tear-downs and the pauses between the really juicy bouncy bits.  It’s called ‘Tortise’ by ‘One Hand Loves the Other‘.  The remix is done by ‘The Treasure Fingers’.

The original of this song, is NOTHING like the remix version.  Again, Miami Horror has taken the BEST of the cut and made it into a really HOT electro-do.  I urge you to give the band release a listen.  U’ll be surprised at the comparison.  Give this excellent remix an ear and see.  ‘This Heart Attack’ by ‘Faker’.  The remix by, again a huge fave of mine … ‘Miami Horror’.  Honestly this song turned from beggar to crooner.

I’ll end with something a little more ‘clubby’ … I hate that word, mostly because I’ve never been to a club that would spin better than I could.  This seems to be a ‘Stuart Price’ specialty.  However, I still love it to bits.  I also love ‘Stuart Price’.  He is the absolute KING of remixology.  I DEFY you to raise your sword to that.  The song is called ‘Four to the Floor’.  It’s by ‘Starsailor’.

I’ll leave you with the video for ‘Four to the Floor’, the difference is STAGGERING! Thoughts?
