Half of me only is posting this song because Ricky absolutely dispises the A-Teens, and although he will probably say nothing about it I know he will have strong opinions that I posted this. In all of our years as friends he’s failed to embrace the A-teens and it’s quite sad really. Disposable yes, but awesome in their own pop music right, definitely! I could have done without that cover of Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out” though.
Regardless this is, in my book, officially the cheesiest pop song in all of pop song history. Feel free to leave comments with contenders, but honestly you can’t cut this cheese with a knife. In just three minutes they manage to pack it all in, and if the title doesn’t just scream “POP!” I don’t know what does. If you are ever feeling a little blue, just put this song on and you are guaranteed to crack a smile even if it’s at the sheer insanity of it’s poptasticness.
This song comes as a bonus track to their sophomore album “Teen Spirit” which was personally my favorite A-teens album.

(A small part of me may have loved them because of my not-so-secret gay crush on Dani who ended up being gay. I can neither confirm nor deny.)

I just want to throw out Kylie’s “Your Disco Needs You” as a strong contender for the title of Cheesiest Pop Song Ever.
@Justin: Ha! That is definitely up there, Perhaps we should compile a list!
I’m trying to think of songs that I would be mortified if they came on my iPod while others were with me. Britney’s “Soda Pop” and “E-Mail My Heart” come to mind…or, Daphne and Celeste’s “U.G.L.Y.” (from Bring It On).
@Shane: That’s some funny shit cause Justin and I were discussing other songs earlier this morning and “Email My Heart” totally came up!
I have mellowed with age, Shan LOL I don’t mind that you posted this at all, and I’m actually listening to it now. It definitely IS cheesetastic, but I agree, “Your Disco Needs You” trumps it in the cheese factor. And can I just say, I love “E-Mail My Heart” to the max LOL We DO need a cheesy goodness of pop list, immediately!
I love the A*Teens especially their first album with all the revived ABBA songs! I have a huge crush on Dhani as well but I dont know whether he is gay or not coz we usually get news like that in Scandinavia fast especially in the gay community.
@Ricky: I’ll be sending out an email for a forum message later this week to compile, so be thinking some up!
@Charles Ravndal: I’m sure it was confirmed several years ago by Dhani (Thanks for the spelling correction, I thought I had it wrong!) himself. So yes, it’s true!
Wow then that is hot! Hahahahaha
