I think pretty much everyone here at Jiingo loves Robyn, perhaps the pop comeback of the century she has been playing the shit of her last self titled album but it’s killer and is worth every bit of the credit it gets.
Awhile back I reconnected with some of Robyn’s old albums, back in the day I was a fan of some of her singles, “Show Me Love”, etc. Recently I’ve rediscovered some of her older stuff like “Electric”, “Keep This Fire Burning” and “Psycho” from her older albums. Truly great pop stuff, even if she was being produced to the masses. Her catalog speaks masses, typing Robyn into my iTunes turns up over 130 songs, remixes, and b-sides. I can’t get enough or Robyn to say the least.
One in my collection that I can never get enough of is “This One’s For You” which was recorded with Fleshquartet in 2007. It is such a tight pop track only surpassed by the one I have titled simply “This One’s For You (Remix)” it’s great and really showcases Robyn’s voice. Have a listen.
