Yeah that was totally a play on Kanye West’s new album “808’s and Heartbreaks” which sadly did not make this years list. I had somewhat of a hard time making this list, as I went through my iTunes and started compiling the “entire list” which I whittled down to the list below I realized that there weren’t too terribly many great albums this year, The first 6 albums or so were a breeze and I easily ranked, but when it came down to the last few they were all pretty mediocre to me. I was making Shan listen to horrible sad songs the other day at his apartment and then I started thinking about great pop songs unplugged.

Perhaps songs with a kick ass beat that were completely re-interpreted in an unplugged fashion that would give them a little different shimmer than we’re used to. These 10 are completely not all-encompassing; but ones you should probably check out none-the-less. Read more »
