Yeah that was totally a play on Kanye West’s new album “808’s and Heartbreaks” which sadly did not make this years list. I had somewhat of a hard time making this list, as I went through my iTunes and started compiling the “entire list” which I whittled down to the list below I realized that there weren’t too terribly many great albums this year, The first 6 albums or so were a breeze and I easily ranked, but when it came down to the last few they were all pretty mediocre to me. This is my first year with Jiingo, I used to post this list on my personal blog, and in the past I haven’t normally made it a habit to write much about the top 10 albums as they should speak for themselves, but I’ll try to say something brief about each, so here we go… Read more »

I’m posting this review before any of my fellow authors get a chance to slam it! I know at least one or two of them are very disappointed with this album. I have to admit that it’s not their best work, their last album “Paris to Berlin” was obviously their peak at this point. But this album does have some high points.

There are a few albums due out sometime this year that have me excited.
First, the only album on my list to have a confirmed release date and track listing is Infernal’s latest album, “Electric Cabaret” due out on August 11. This album follows their incredibly brilliant “From Paris To Berlin” CD. The first single from their new album is ‘Downtown Boys’ and takes a lot to get into, it’s definitely different from their previous recordings, but perhaps in a good way.
