Besides all the fabulous music posted in the Top Ten Songs of 2008, there was also a bevy of older selections that made an impression on me this year. And with that in mind, I’d like to share my Top Ten Songs of 2008, the “overall” edition. As a person who loves to make lists, the end of the year is a great time for me. I used to write on another music website, and this was always so much fun! I got my results by tallying the most played songs on my iPod, and I have to say, it’s quite a nice list. I casually decided to pick up Robin Thicke’s sophomore release, The Evolution of Robin Thicke, around Easter of last year. Eighteen months later, it is one of my favorite albums by a male artist, perhaps ever. I was surprised and delighted when I found out “Magic” was being released as the first single from his third album, Something Else
